Aberdeen Synagogue and Jewish Community Centre

Until the shul is back in action - we are looking at Jan/Feb 2018 - we will have "skeleton" Friday night and Shabbat services in the Bon Accord Centre.

Please go to the first floor car park (Loch Street side) where there is a booth with a Security Guard, who will direct you to where you have to go.

Please note that we will not be able to provide any food, tea, or coffee after our services.  Of course, we are free to go into the Bon Accord Centre after these events, and use its cafes and services.

Friday 3 November 6:00pm

Saturday 4 November 10:00am - the parshah for this week is Vayera, Genesis 18:1 - 22:24

Friday 10 November 6:00pm
Friday 17 November 6:00pm
Friday 24 November 6:00pm

Our AGM will also be in the Bon Accord Centre Management Suite, at 1030 on Sunday, 12 Nov. All members are strongly encouraged to come, as there are a lot of important issues facing our community.
Looking ahead, our Chanukah party will be on Sunday, 17 Dec.  We hope we will be able to have this in 74 Dee St, provided the repair work progresses as planned

About Candle-Lighting
It is considered a great mitzvah and responsibility to honour the Sabbath by lighting candles 18 minutes before sunset on Friday evening. This unique commandment, entrusted to the Jewish woman, is rich with meaning and purpose.
